What is Amoxicillin Astar?

Mechanism of Action
The active component in Amoxicillin Astar works by interfering with the synthesis of bacterial cell walls. It binds to specific proteins within the bacterial cell, preventing the cross-linking of peptidoglycan chains. This disruption weakens the cell wall, leading to the eventual rupture and death of the bacteria. Because human cells do not possess a peptidoglycan cell wall, the medication specifically targets bacterial pathogens.
Therapeutic Use
As a bactericidal agent, Amoxicillin Astar is effective against a range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is commonly utilized in clinical settings to address infections such as:
