Dotest is primarily utilized in the field of nuclear medicine for the following purposes:

How It Works
Once Dotest enters the bloodstream, it is taken up by healthy cells in proportion to the blood flow they receive. During a specialized scan, such as a Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) scan, the tracer reveals the distribution of blood within the target organ. Areas that receive less blood or have damaged tissue will show a lower uptake of the tracer, appearing different on the resulting images compared to healthy, well-perfused areas.
