Antioxidant vitamins are associated with the health of the retina and lens of the eye which can be damaged over the years by sunlight and smoke. All secondary antioxidants in Visionace give effective antioxidant delay aging by recycling each other and helps primary and tertiary antioxidants to optimize their functions; Visionace C is particularly important to the lens. Bioflavonoids enhance the macular pigment in addition to their antioxidant effects. Bilberry flavonoids help to reduce capillary fragility by improving collagen integrity and reduce capillary permeability and also contribute antioxidant effect.
Visionace B complex is imparted to maintain the optic nerve functions. Visionace B1 deficiency can cause neuronal fiber and cell degeneration in the eyes and thus is linked with cataracts. Riboflavin is required for glutathione reductase for photo-oxidative stress and is also basis of cytochrome that synchronize body circadian's rhythm. Visionace B12 for sleep cycle. The retina contains one of the highest concentrations of minerals which are necessary for natural visual pigments. Those requirements can be provided in Visionace.
Zinc is important for metabolism of retina and lens of the eye. Zinc-containing enzyme superoxide dysmutase (SOD) protect retina and light-induced oxidative stress after eye opening.
Magnesium and calcium play important roles in determining electrical currents through photo receptors.
Chromium is found to be lower in patients with diabetes mellitus and cataracts.
Manganese is needed for maintenance of photo receptors cells and cells in cornea and also an essential part of antioxidant enzyme SOD.
