Tineafax is indicated for the topical treatment of Tinea corporis, Tinea cruris, Tinea barbae. Tinea pedis and Tinea versicolor caused by dermatophytes such as T. mentagrophytes. T. rubrum, E. floccosum. M. canis and M. furfur. Although studies on patients with Tinea capitis and onicomycosis have been carried out on a limited scale. Yet these conditions may also be responsive to treatment with Tineafax.
Tineafax is an antifungal medication that fights infections caused by fungus.
Tineafax topical (for the skin) is used to treat infections such as athlete's foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and ringworm (tinea corporis). Tineafax is also used with other antifungals to treat infections of the nails, scalp, palms, and soles of the feet.
Tineafax topical may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Apply to the skin, 2 times a day. Avoid contact with the eyes. Therapy for a period of 2-3 weeks is usually sufficient; however, treatment for 4-6 weeks may be necessary, especially if thickening of the skin has occurred. Treatment should be continued for 2 weeks after symptoms have disappeared. Tineafax may be used concurrently with an oral antifungal agent eg, griseofulvin, in the treatment of onychomycosis or chronic infections of the scalp, palms or skin.

What is the most important information I should know about Tineafax?
Do NOT use Benzalkonium Chloride Solution if:
you are allergic to any ingredient in Benzalkonium Chloride Solution.
you have a deep puncture wound, animal bite, or serious burn.
Use Tineafax cream kit as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Tineafax cream kit is for external use only. Do not get Tineafax cream kit in your eyes, nose, or mouth.
- Wash the affected area with soap and water. Be sure the area is completely dry before applying Tineafax cream kit.
- Antifungal cream: Apply a thin layer of medicine to the affected skin twice a day or as directed by your doctor. If you are using Tineafax cream kit for athlete's foot, make sure you apply Tineafax cream kit to the spaces between the toes. Do NOT use the antifungal cream to treat fungal infections of the scalp or nails. It is not effective for treating infections in those areas.
- Revitalizing cream for the nail: Apply enough cream to spread over the entire surface of the infected nails. Scrub the nail for at least 1 minute with the nail brush provided. Wash and dry the nail after using the cream.
- Wash the nail file with soap and water after each use. Do not allow others to use the nail file.
- Wash your hands immediately after using Tineafax cream kit.
- Do not get Tineafax cream kit in your eyes, nose, or mouth.
- If you are using Tineafax cream kit for athlete's foot, wear well-fitting, ventilated shoes. Change shoes and socks at least once a day.
- To clear up your infection completely, continue using Tineafax cream kit for the full course of treatment. Do not miss any doses.
- If you miss a dose of Tineafax cream kit, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

The drug can be used for a single troubling symptom or a life-threatening condition. It is an antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus.
How to use Tineafax topical
Use this medication on the skin only. Clean and thoroughly dry the area to be treated. Apply this medication to the affected skin, usually twice a day or as directed on the product package or by your doctor. Dosage and length of treatment depends on the type of infection being treated.
Some forms of Tineafax (e.g., powder) need to be shaken before applying. Check your product package to see if your form of this medication needs to be shaken. Apply enough medication to cover the affected area and some of the surrounding skin. After applying this medication, wash your hands. Do not wrap, cover, or bandage the area unless directed to do so by your doctor.
Do not apply this medication in the eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina.
Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Remember to use it at the same time(s) each day.
Continue to use this medication until the full prescribed amount is finished, even if symptoms disappear after starting Tineafax. Stopping the medication too early may allow the fungus to continue to grow, which may result in a relapse of the infection.
Inform your doctor if your condition persists after 2 weeks of treatment for jock itch, after 4 weeks of treatment for athlete's foot or ringworm, or if your condition worsens at any time.
