Terocin Lotion, Lidocaine (Terocin Lotion), Menthol (Terocin Lotion), and Methyl Salicylate (Terocin Lotion) topical (for the skin) is a combination medicine used for temporary relief of muscle pain and soreness than may be related to arthritis, strains, backaches, or bruises.
Terocin Lotion, Lidocaine (Terocin Lotion), Menthol (Terocin Lotion), and Methyl Salicylate (Terocin Lotion) topical may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
- For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, or genitals. If Terocin Lotion lotion gets into your eyes, rinse immediately with cool water.
- Do NOT use more than the recommended dose, use more often than recommended, or use for longer than recommended without checking with your doctor. Do not use large amounts of Terocin Lotion lotion without checking with your doctor.
- Terocin Lotion lotion may be harmful if swallowed. If you may have taken Terocin Lotion lotion by mouth, contact your local or emergency room right away.
- Talk with your doctor before you use any other medicines (including pain medicines) or cleansers on your skin.
- If your condition persists or worsens, stop using this product and contact your health care provider.
- If redness is present or if irritation develops, check with your doctor before using any more of Terocin Lotion lotion.
- If severe burning occurs, remove this product by thoroughly washing the area with soap and cold water.
- Terocin Lotion lotion should not be used in CHILDREN younger than 12 years without checking with the child's doctor; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.
- PREGNANCY and BREAST-FEEDING: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Terocin Lotion lotion while you are pregnant. It is not known if Terocin Lotion lotion is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Terocin Lotion lotion, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.
Usual Adult Dose for Pain:
Terocin Lotion 0.025%-2.5%-10%-25% topical lotion:
Apply topically not more than 4 times daily.
Usual Pediatric Dose for Pain:
Terocin Lotion 0.025%-2.5%-10%-25% topical lotion:
12 years or older: Apply topically not more than 4 times daily.
Use Terocin Lotion lotion as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Before the first use of Terocin Lotion lotion, rub a small amount onto your skin to check for sensitivity.
- Wash and dry the affected area before you apply Terocin Lotion lotion.
- Shake before each use. Apply just enough medicine to cover the affected area. Gently massage the medicine into the skin until it disappears.
- Wash your hands with soap and water immediately after using Terocin Lotion lotion.
- Do not apply to wounds, cuts, or damaged, broken (open), or irritated skin.
- Do not bandage or wrap the affected area.
- Do not use Terocin Lotion lotion with a heating pad.
- Do not expose the treated area to heat or direct sunlight. Warm or hot water or sunlight may increase burning or itching. Do not use Terocin Lotion lotion immediately after bathing, swimming, using a hot tub, sunbathing, or exposure to heat.
- If you miss a dose of Terocin Lotion lotion, use it as soon as you remember. Continue to use it as directed by your doctor or on the package label.
Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Terocin Lotion lotion.
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Wash the skin and get medical attention right away if you have severe burning, pain, swelling, or blistering of the skin where you applied this medicine.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have:

pale skin, blue-colored lips;
-
headache, confusion; or
-
rapid heartbeats.
Common side effects may include a mild burning sensation that can last for several hours or days, especially after your first use of this medicine.
