Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) HCl is a piperazine derivative and a metabolite of hydroxyzine. It competes reversibly with histamine to block the histamine (H1) receptor sites. Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) HCl is considered a long-acting nonsedating antihistamine and has some mast-cell stabilizing activity.
Paracetamol (Tancet COLD) is an organic compound that consists of a six-membered ring containing two opposing nitrogen atoms. Paracetamol (Tancet COLD) exists as small alkaline deliquescent crystals with a saline tasteacinol was introduced to medicine as a solvent for uric acid. When taken into the body the drug is partly oxidized and partly eliminated unchanged. Outside the body, piperazine has a remarkable power to dissolve uric acid and producing a soluble urate, but in clinical experience it has not proved equally successfulacinol was first introduced as an anthelmintic in 1953. A large number of piperazine compounds have anthelmintic Paracetamol (Tancet COLD). Their mode of Paracetamol (Tancet COLD) is generally by paralysing parasites, which allows the host body to easily remove or expel the invading organism.
Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) has been withdrawn in Canada and the United States. In November 2000, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a public health advisory against the use of the drug.
Perennial Allergic Rhinitis: Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride syrup is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with perennial allergic rhinitis due to allergens such as dust mites, animal dander and molds in children 6 to 23 months of age. Symptoms treated effectively include sneezing, rhinorrhea, postnasal discharge, nasal pruritus, ocular pruritus, and tearing.
Chronic Urticaria: Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride syrup is indicated for the treatment of the uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria in children 6 months to 5 years of age. It significantly reduces the occurrence, severity, and duration of hives and significantly reduces pruritus.
An indication is a term used for the list of condition or symptom or illness for which the medicine is prescribed or used by the patient. For example, acetaminophen or Paracetamol (Tancet COLD) is used for fever by the patient, or the doctor prescribes it for a headache or body pains. Now fever, headache and body pains are the indications of Paracetamol (Tancet COLD). A patient should be aware of the indications of medications used for common conditions because they can be taken over the counter in the pharmacy meaning without prescription by the Physician. For systemic use of Paracetamol (Tancet COLD) Sante Naturelle: prevention and treatment of hypo- and avitaminosis of vitamin C; providing increased need for vitamin C during growth, pregnancy, lactation, with heavy loads, fatigue and during recovery after prolonged severe illness; in winter with an increased risk of infectious diseases.
For intravaginal use: chronic or recurrent vaginitis (bacterial vaginosis, nonspecific vaginitis) caused by the anaerobic flora (due to changes in pH of the vagina) in order to normalize disturbed vaginal microflora.

Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) is an antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose.
Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) is used to treat cold or allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, or runny nose.
Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) is also used to treat itching and swelling caused by chronic urticaria (hives).
Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Paracetamol (Tancet COLD) (acetaminophen) is a pain reliever and a fever reducer. The exact mechanism of Paracetamol (Tancet COLD) of is not known.
Paracetamol (Tancet COLD) is used to treat many conditions such as headache, muscle aches, arthritis, backache, toothaches, colds, and fevers. It relieves pain in mild arthritis but has no effect on the underlying inflammation and swelling of the joint.
Paracetamol (Tancet COLD) may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) is a decongestant. It works by constricting (shrinking) blood vessels (veins and arteries) in your body. Constriction of blood vessels in your sinuses, nose, and chest allows drainage of those areas, which decreases congestion.
Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) is used to treat the congestion associated with allergies, hay fever, sinus irritation, and the common cold. Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) also causes a decrease in appetite and is used in some over-the-counter diet aids.
Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) has been associated with an increased risk of hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding into the brain or into tissue surrounding the brain) in women. Men may also be at risk. Although the risk of hemorrhagic stroke is low, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends that consumers not use any products that contain Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD).

It is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist what medicines you are already taking, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you take this medicine. Similarly, check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medicines while taking this one, to ensure that the combination is safe.
You should not take other medicines that contain Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) in combination with this medicine, as this can easily result in exceeding the maximum recommended daily dose of Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD). Many cold and flu remedies and over-the-counter painkillers contain Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD), so be sure to check the ingredients of any other medicines before taking them with this one. Migraleve yellow can be taken four hours after taking Migraleve pink if you still have a migraine, but make sure you do not exceed the maximum dose recommended in the information leaflet.
This medicine should be used with caution in people taking a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), for example the antidepressants phenelzine, tranylcypromine or isocarboxacid. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine if you have taken an MAOI in the last 14 days.
Cholestyramine reduces the absorption of Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) from the gut. It should not be taken within an hour of taking Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) or the effect of the Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) will be reduced.
Metoclopramide and domperidone may increase the absorption of Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) from the gut.
Long-term or regular use of Phenylpropanolamine (Tancet COLD) may increase the anti-blood-clotting effect of warfarin and other anticoagulant medicines, leading to an increased risk of bleeding. This effect does not occur with occasional painkilling doses. If you are taking an anticoagulant medicine and you are also taking co-codamol regularly, your blood clotting time (INR) should be regularly monitored.
In the unlikely event that this medicine makes you feel drowsy, this may be enhanced by other medicines that can cause drowsiness, such as the following:
antipsychotics, eg haloperidol
barbiturates, eg phenobarbital, amobarbital
benzodiazepines, eg diazepam, temazepam
other opioids, eg morphine, dihydrocodeine
sedating antihistamines, eg chlorphenamine, hydroxyzine
sleeping tablets, eg zopiclone
tricyclic antidepressants, eg amitriptyline.

What are the possible side effects of Cetirizine (Tancet COLD)?
Pediatric studies were conducted with Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride. More than 1300 pediatric patients aged 6 to 11 years with more than 900 treated with Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride at doses of 1.25 to 10 mg per day were included in controlled and uncontrolled clinical trials conducted in the United States. The duration of treatment ranged from 2 to 12 weeks. Placebo-controlled trials up to 4 weeks duration included 168 pediatric patients aged 2 to 5 years who received Cetirizine (Tancet COLD), the majority of whom received single daily doses of 5 mg. A placebo-controlled trial 18 months in duration included 399 patients aged 12 to 24 months treated with Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) (0.25 mg/kg bid), and another placebo-controlled trial of 7 days duration included 42 patients aged 6 to 11 months who were treated with Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) (0.25 mg/kg bid).
The majority of adverse reactions reported in pediatric patients aged 2 to 11 years with Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride were mild or moderate. In placebo-controlled trials, the incidence of discontinuations due to adverse reactions in pediatric patients receiving up to 10 mg of Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride was uncommon (0.4% on Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride vs. 1.0% on placebo).
Table 1 lists adverse experiences which were reported for Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride 5 and 10 mg in pediatric patients aged 6 to 11 years in placebo-controlled clinical trials in the United States and were more common with Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride than placebo. Of these, abdominal pain was considered treatment-related and somnolence appeared to be dose-related, 1.3% in placebo, 1.9% at 5 mg and 4.2% at 10 mg. The adverse experiences reported in pediatric patients aged 2 to 5 years in placebo-controlled trials were qualitatively similar in nature and generally similar in frequency to those reported in trials with children aged 6 to 11 years.
In the placebo-controlled trials of pediatric patients 6 to 24 months of age, the incidences of adverse experiences, were similar in the Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) and placebo treatment groups in each study. Somnolence occurred with essentially the same frequency in patients who received Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) hydrochloride and patients who received placebo. In a study of 1 week duration in children 6 to 11 months of age, patients who received Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) exhibited greater irritability/fussiness than patients on placebo. In a study of 18 months duration in patients 12 months and older, insomnia occurred more frequently in patients who received Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) compared to patients who received placebo (9.0% v. 5.3%). In those patients who received 5 mg or more per day of Cetirizine (Tancet COLD) as compared to patients who received placebo, fatigue (3.6% v. 1.3%) and malaise (3.6% v. 1.8%) occurred more frequently.

This justifies the recommendations of caution especially in patients with liver disease prior.
Very rarely, it can produce thrombocytopenia.
The acute liver toxicity in overdose massive (doses greater than 8 g of Paracetamol (Tancet COLD)) is described in paragraph overdose.
