Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) Cleanser: Wash affected areas once or twice daily, or as directed by your physician. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. Wet skin and liberally apply to areas to be cleansed, massage gently into skin for 10-20 seconds working into a full lather, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. If drying occurs, it may be controlled by rinsing cleanser off sooner or using less often.
Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) Cleansing Cloths: Wash affected areas with cleansing cloth once or twice daily, or as directed by your physician. Wet face with water. Wet cloth with a little water and work into a full lather. Cleanse face with cloth for 10-20 seconds avoiding eyes. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Throw away cloth. Do not flush.
Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) SCT: Use once daily or as directed by your physician. Wet skin. Apply in a film to entire face, avoiding contact with eyes or mucous membranes. Wait 10 minutes or until dry. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry.
Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) TS: Cleanse affected areas. Apply a thin film of Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) TS to affected areas 1 to 3 times daily, or as directed by your physician.

What is the most important information I should know about Sumaxin Wash?
Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) Cleanser, Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) Cleansing Cloths, Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) SCT and Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) TS are contraindicated for use by patients having known hypersensitivity to sulfonamides, sulfur or any other component of this preparation. These Sumaxin Wash (sulfacetamide) ® brand products are not to be used by patients with kidney disease.
Use Sumaxin Wash as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Before the first use of a new container, you will need to prime the container. Hold the can upright and point it away from yourself and others. Press the spray button down for 3 to 5 seconds or until foam begins to appear.
- Wash the affected skin and gently pat dry with a clean towel before each use of Sumaxin Wash.
- Shake well before each use.
- Hold the container upright. Dispense a small amount of the medicine onto your fingertips. Gently massage the foam into the affected area.
- If your doctor has told you to leave Sumaxin Wash on, be sure to wipe off any excess medicine after you apply it.
- If your doctor has told you to wash Sumaxin Wash off, wait 10 minutes after you apply it, then rinse with water and pat dry.
- Wash your hands immediately after using Sumaxin Wash, unless your hands are part of the affected area.
- Use Sumaxin Wash on a regular schedule to get the most benefit from it.
- Continue to use Sumaxin Wash even if your condition improves. Do not miss any doses
- If you miss a dose of Sumaxin Wash, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.
