Potency disturbances

Hypogonadism

Growth, development and function of androgen-dependent target organs are stimulated by Proviron 25mg. It promotes development of secondary male sex characteristics in cases of prepuberal hypogonadism. Full clinical and laboratory investigations are necessary in all cases of young patients prior to commencement of treatment. Proviron 25mg tablets may also be used as a substitution therapy in cases where a loss of gonadal function has occurred post-puberally.

Infertility

Oligozoospermia and deficient Leydig-cell secretion may be the cause of infertility. With Proviron 25mg treatment, sperm count can be increased, the quality improved and, furthermore, a higher fructose concentration up to normal values can be achieved thus increasing the chances of procreation.

Reduced efficiency in middle & advanced age due to androgen deficiency 1 tab tid. After satisfactory clinical improvement try to reduce the dose. Treatment may be continued to 1 tab once daily or bid. Hypogonadism Max: 1-2 tab tid for several mth. Maintenance dose: 1 tab 2-3 times daily. Infertility for the improvement of sperm quantity & quality 1 tab bid-tid for about 90 days & repeated after at several wk if necessary.

In patients with carcinoma of the prostate, androgen therapy of any kind, including the use of Proviron 25mg, is contra-indicated.

Proviron 25mg is used to treat deficiency of male sex hormones such as testosterone in men or male infertility caused by it.

Enhance activities of ciclosporine, antidiabetics, thyroxine, anticoagulants. Long term use of testosterone may cause resistance to effects of neuromuscular blockers. Enhance fluid retention from corticosteroids.
