Ovacare is used to treat fibrosis, a condition in which the skin and underlying tissues tighten and become less flexible. This condition occurs in such diseases as dermatomyositis, morphea, Peyronie's disease, scleroderma, and linear scleroderma.
Ovacare is also used to treat a certain type of inflammation (nonsuppurative inflammation) that occurs in such diseases as dermatomyositis, pemphigus, and Peyronie's disease.
Ovacare is available only with your doctor's prescription.

Hypersensitivity to PABA or sulphonamides, thiazide diuretics, benzocaine.
Use Ovacare as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
- Take Ovacare with meals or snacks.
- Ovacare comes with an additional patient leaflet. Read it carefully and reread it each time you get Ovacare refilled.
- Crush the tablets and add to a glass of chilled water or juice. Stir well and drink after eating. It is okay if all the tablet particles do not dissolve completely.
- If you miss a dose of Ovacare, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.
Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Ovacare.
Combination with benzophenones gives added protection against photosensitive disorders. Immersion in water causes serious loss of protection.
