Each 5 mL syrup contains vitamin A (as palmitate) 2500 IU, vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride) 2 mg, vitamin B2 (riboflavine) 1 mg, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) 1 mg, vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) 1 mcg, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 50 mg, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 200 IU, Nicotinamide (Grovit) 15 mg, dex-panthenol 2.5 mg, citrus bio-flavonoid compound 5 mg and flavoured base.
Each 0.6 mL drops contains vitamin A (as palmitate) 3000 IU, vitamin B1 (thiamine mononitrate) 2 mg, vitamin B2 (riboflavine sodium phosphate equivalent to riboflavine) 1 mg, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) 1 mg, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 40 mg, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 400 IU, vitamin E (α-tocopheryl acetate) 5 mg, Nicotinamide (Grovit) 10 mg, dex-panthenol 3 mg and flavoured aqueous base. The oil-soluble vitamins in Grovit drops were made water-soluble.
Appropriate overages of vitamins were added to compensate for loss on storage.
Syrup: Treatment of the vitamin deficiency state and to meet the increased vitamin demands in conditions like pregnancy, lactation, growing children, post-operative care and severe infections.
Drops: Treatment of the vitamin deficiency state. Vitamin E provided in the drops is particularly useful in the treatment of premature or low birth weight infants.
Syrup: Adults: 2 tsp (10 mL) daily. Children: 1 tsp (5 mL) daily.
Drops: Infants: 0.3 mL once a day initially, which can be increased up to 0.6 mL once a day.
Hypersensitivity to any of the vitamins is observed or if there is a preexisting hypervitaminosis.
There are no known drug interactions of any drug with Grovit syrup and drops.
Allergic reaction has been known to occur following administration of thiamine.
