Immunorestoration in individuals suffering from pre-AIDS/persistent generalized lymphadenopathy and AIDS-related complex, neoplastic disease, anergy and hypoergy prior to major surgery, severe burns.
Initially and during the peak stage of the disease: 100 mg/kg body weight daily. Subsequently, 50 mg/kg body weight daily as maintenance.

Isoprinosine 500mg may be administered simultaneously with other chemotherapeutics eg, antibiotics, as it shows no drug incompatibilities.
Hypersensitivity to any of the components, hypersensitivity to homologous immunoglobulins, especially in very rare cases of IgA deficiency when the patient has antibodies against IgA. Treatment with Hepatect CP is not indicated if the person at risk has been fully vaccinated against Hepatitis B and their immune response has been adequate.
There are no known important interactions between Isoprinosine 500mg and other medicines.
Nervousness, restlessness, insomnia, anxiety, tension, blurring of vision, fear, excitement. Rarely, sweating, weakness, pallor, dizziness, mild tremor, headache, flushing of the face or skin, nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, lightheadedness, asthenia. Swelling of the parotid glands (prolonged use). Pulmonary oedema, dyspneoa. Palpitation and ventricular tachycardia. Transient myocardial ischaemia or myocardial dysfunction in children.
Potentially Fatal: Ventricular arrhythmias
Isoprinosine 500mg is a synthetic complex of inosine and dimethylaminoisopropanol (as p-acetamidobenzoate) in a molar ratio of 1:3. Its empirical formula is C52H78N10O17. Methisoprinol is a white powder, very soluble and stable in physiological solution, and slightly bitter in taste.
