Disturbi visivi
Disturbi visivi possono essere segnalati con l'uso sistemico e topico di corticosteroidi. Popolazione pediatrica
I corticosteroidi causano ritardo della crescita nell'infanzia, nell'infanzia e nell'adolescenza, che possono essere irreversibili, e quindi la somministrazione a lungo termine di dosi farmacologiche deve essere evitata. Se è necessaria una terapia prolungata, il trattamento deve essere limitato alla soppressione minima dell'asse surrenale ipotalamo-ipofisi e al ritardo della crescita. I glucocorticoidi causano effetti metabolici profondi e vari. Inoltre, modificano le risposte immunitarie del corpo a diversi stimoli.
Prednisolone tabletse viene assorbito rapidamente e apparentemente quasi completamente dopo somministrazione orale; raggiunge le massime concentrazioni plasmatiche dopo 1-3 ore.
